OTTO NORDENSKJOLD – AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED 02/08/1914 – HFSID 177302 OTTO NORDENSKJLD. ALS: “Otto Nordenskjld”, 1p, 8½x11¼. Gttborg, 1914 February 8. In French, not translated. To an unnamed “very honored colleague”. Begins: “I have the honor to send you the enclosed short article for the Revue….” Swedish geologist Nils Otto Gustaf Nordenskjld (1869-1928) headed an expedition to Patagonia (1895-1897) and later explored the Klondike and Alaska (1898) and Greenland (1900). From 1901 to 1904, he commanded an expedition to the Antarctic that yielded important geographical results. He later led an expedition to Peru and southern Chile (1920-1921). Lightly creased. Folds, vertical fold touches the “tt” of Otto. ½-inch separation at blank right margin at mid-horizontal fold, two ¼-inch separations at left margin touch 2 words.
