This lens was developed based on Biotar f2/58mm (Carl Zeiss Jena) Lens. The photo lens fit for all M42 screw-mount 35mm MF (Manual Focus) SLR film cameras: Asahi Pentax, Bessaflex, Chinon, Contax (VEB/DDR), Cosina, Edixa, Exa, Exakta (Japan), Fujica, Icarex, Mamiya, Olympus, Pentacon, Petri, Praktica, Praktiflex, Porst, Regula, Revueflex, Ricoh, Soligor, Vivitar, Voigtländer, Yashica, Zenit. Other SLR and DSLR cameras with the use of an adapter: Canon, Minolta, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax, Yashica… PL – is a lens mount developed for use with both 16 mm and 35 mm movie cameras. The PL stands for “positive lock”. It is the successor mount to the Arri bayonet; unlike the bayonet mount, however, it is incompatible with older Arri-mount lenses, due to the larger diameter.
