This piece is absolutely gorgeous. The details are magnificent. Limited Editions are produced for one full year. This one is Series No. 3, which was produced in 1998. This piece is a THIRD edition as it is numbered March #2422. The piece measures 3 3/4″ tall and 5 1/2″ wide. The item is new with no chips, cracks or scratches, in the original box with original foam packing. “The Boyds Collection Ltd. has, since 1979, been creating Affordable Antique Reproductions and Collectibles. In Yesterdays’ Child..The Dollstone Collection, our Artists have attempted to bring to you sculptured interpretations of times “not so long ago” when dreams came true, happiness was your “Special” teddie or dolly, and a “settlement” was made with a handshake, or a hug and a teary-eyed kiss…not an attorney. Each piece is Conceptualized and Sketched by G.M. Lowenthal…Proprietor, CEO, and Head Bean of The Boyds Collection Ltd.” “The Conceptual Sketch is translated by the Master Sculptor into a 3-dimensional “Clay”, which is reworked and revised many times before given final approval to be cast.
