Tough date with an even tougher variety. Two varieties are known, the S-292 and S-293, with the latter being more scarce. Both share the same obverse, but different reverse dies. The S-293 has an offset second “S” in STATES compared to the leaf below it. The S-292 has the “S” almost in-line with the tip of the leaf. The obverse is pitted/corroded along the left edge. Being that the coin appears to be Choice to Very Choice Very Fine, the corrosion is cause for “Very Fine Details”.
